How did it go?

Between 9th and 15th July 2018, the 3rd edition of NILS International Summer School organized by NILS - Bucharest Chapter took place in Bucharest, Romania. It was held at two law faculties in Bucharest: Bucharest University and Nicolae Titulescu University.
This project became a tradition that we are glad we could continuously improve over the years.
This year we focused on Competition Law, a domain that is of actuality and which is extremely variated.

We had the honour to host more than 20 participants from Romania, Italy, Greece, Czech Republic, Republic of Moldova, China, Ukraine, Estonia, Malta, Iran and Jordan. Even though it was a smaller number despite the other editions, this edition was the most interesting.
Our speakers were very well-prepared and they are part of the best law firms in Bucharest: bpv Grigorescu Ştefănică, Popovici Niţu Stoica & Associates, Rubin Meyer Doru & Trandafir, RTPR Allen & Overy, Maravela & Associates, NNDKP, Wolf Theiss, Suciu Popa, Cunescu Balaciu & Associates, but also an international speaker from CMS Belgium.
Moreover, this year we surprised our participants with a surprise lecture on a very hot topic nowadays such as GDPR, a very interesting lecture held by Ana-Maria Udrişte, co-founder at Jurio. Totodată, anul acesta i-am surprins pe participanţi şi cu o prelegere surpriză pe un subiect de mare actualitate în prezent şi anume GDPR, o prelegere susţinută de Ana-Maria Udrişte, co-fondator of Jurio.

The lectures were very well chosen so that they will be understood by all the participants, even by those who have not studied Competition Law yet.
To sum it up, the participants had a week full of interesting lectures, but they also enjoyed the beauty of Bucharest and they had the opportunity to try Romanian traditional dishes.
